livestream last night, Trump said he’d appoint Elon Musk to run a
so-called Government “Efficiency” Commission if Trump wins in November.
This is the latest move by Trump to openly campaign on destroying the
social safety net in this country and privatize EVERYTHING for the benefit
of his billionaire friends.
No wonder Elon Musk is throwing millions into a super PAC to elect Trump.

Elon Musk as a member of Trump’s government: it’s a scary thought.
The unfortunate reality is that the U.S. government is already heavily
reliant on Musk and his companies. Musk’s corporations like Tesla and
SpaceX already have $14 billion in government contracts.
But that’s not enough for Musk. He wants more taxpayer dollars funneled
directly to him. And he wants it without labor standards and unions — he’s
been union busting at his companies AND trying to destroy the National
Labor Relations Board.
For Trump, his invitation of more power and control to the corporate world
doesn’t only extend to Musk. Trump pitched a deal to Big Oil executives —
if they give his campaign a billion dollars, he’ll make sure the U.S.
government keeps the fossil fuel industry in operation. He’ll appoint more
right-wing judges to the federal judiciary who rule in favor of corporate
power and against workers and consumers.
Trump’s privatization of everything — including Social Security and
Medicare — his far right agenda, giveaways to billionaire oligarchs, and
climate change denial is a danger to workers and families across the
country.
