In June, the Nevada Democrats sued the Green Party of Nevada and the Nevada Secretary of State in an attempt to kick us off the ballot even after we worked hard to collect over 29,000 signatures in the scorching heat – almost three times the 10,096 required! Within 24 hours of official certification by the Secretary of State for Jill to appear on the ballot in Nevada, the dirty trick Dems slapped us with legal action to try to keep Jill off the ballot. They made good on their threats to sue us off the ballot everywhere and keep our time and resources tied up in frivolous litigation. 

But yesterday we got great news: the ruling has been made in our favor and Silver State voters WILL have an anti-genocide, pro-worker, climate action choice in November!

Unsurprisingly, the anti-Democratic Party has filed an appeal. We have every reason to believe that this appeal will be rejected and Jill will be on the ballot. But we need to pay another $15,000 in legal fees to fight them – so once again we’re forced to expend our resources to fend off frivolous litigation. 

If everyone who gets this email donates as little as $2.40 today, we will be able to pay our legal fees in Nevada, including the additional $15,000 necessary to cover the appeal.
