What a month! It’s taken us a minute to catch up to the whirlwind the past few weeks have been, but we’re back and we’re ready to get to work electing Kamala Harris and the whole slate of fantastic Dem candidates in Arlington this November!
Bringing home the Blue Wave takes some planning, which is why for this month’s General Body Meeting, we’re focusing on the AYD campaign plan - so come to the Central Library on August 20th and hear about how we’re reaching our community, other communities, and how YOU can get involved!
But we can’t execute a plan if we don’t have a tight community, and the AYD brat summer of friendship is in full swing! Our membership barbecue is on the 24th (RSVP for address), and we’re going to go together to cheer on the Nats on the 27th! We’d love if you could make one or both of these chances to get to know your fellow Young Dems, and maybe introduce a new friend to the team!

🌭 County Fair Table Volunteers Needed! 🐖
This week is the Arlington County Fair, where the best of Arlington’s talent, food, and culture is on display, and this of course includes us! We have a table in the vendor fair over the weekend, and we are looking for volunteers to help staff the table. If you’d like to help people learn about our organization and get registered to vote, sign up for a slot on this sheet! |

The Arlington County Fair is one of the largest free events on the East Coast and has been providing quality entertainment for over 40 years. They are a non-profit organization that embraces our diverse community by educating, entertaining, and showcasing the best of Arlington. While you’re checking out all of the talent, entertainment, and food that our county has to offer, make sure to swing by our table in the indoor vendor space to meet your fellow YD’s, and drag a friend along so they can register to vote!

Want to know how you can help? Join us for this month's general body meeting where we will review our campaign plan and learn more about canvassing, phone banking, and other opportunities.

AYD @ Nats Park (Facebook, Tickets) Join AYD at the Nats v. Yankees game at Nationals Park on Tuesday, August 27th! We'll meet up outside the Bull Pen near the park entrance at 6:15 pm and head in around 6:30 pm for the 6:45 pm game.
