[1]U.S. Senator Chris Murphy

At the very start of this election cycle, when I launched my re-election, I warned, “the status quo fights back.” I knew the gun lobby and corporate special interests would be looking for a fight.

Why? Because in the last four years, Democrats did what many political pundits thought couldn’t get done.

Democrats beat the powerful drug company lobby and finally capped costs on critical medications like insulin. We defeated Big Oil by passing landmark legislation to clean up our climate.

And the NRA held Washington hostage for 30 years, blocking every serious attempt at gun safety legislation, until I beat them, passing the first major gun safety bill in three decades.

The PACs and corporations I refuse to take money from are cutting huge checks to Republicans and their super PACs. They’re investing millions in swing states against my Senate colleagues — but also right here in Connecticut.

So my job in these final three months is not just about my re-election. I need to do everything I can to support Democrats up and down the ticket. That means I need to have what I need to win my race, so that I can also be in a position to help win the Senate.

If you believe in me and want to see us build on our progress, please donate $ASK to my campaign today to help me continue leading this fight in Washington.

Look, my colleagues took votes on progressive priorities during the last few years knowing that the powerful special interests we challenged would spend big to take back the Senate.

My colleagues have earned our support, and they cannot win alone. So it’s important to me that I have their back now — doing everything I can to campaign for them and make sure they have the resources they need, but I cannot do that without you.

Every best wish,

Chris Murphy
