When he lost the 2020 presidential election, rather than conceding defeat, Donald Trump attempted to overturn the results and seize power illegally. He is the first president in American history who refused to guarantee the peaceful transfer of power.

Donald Trump summoned a mob to Washington, DC on January 6th. As the violent mob attacked our Capitol and brutalized police officers in his name, Donald Trump watched the attack on television and refused for over three hours to tell the mob to leave the Capitol.

He has said he believes the Constitution can be terminated. He has said he wants to be a dictator. He has praised brutal tyrants like Chinese President XI and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. "He speaks and his people sit up at attention," Trump said about King Jong Un, "I want my people to do the same." Trump has told us -and shown us--what he would do if he were ever in office again. There will be no guardrails to protect us.

As Americans, it is our duty to stand together--Republicans, Democrats, and Independents alike--to defend our Constitution and the rule of law.

This is the cause of our time, and we cannot afford to be divided. We must unite in our commitment to defend our democracy and uphold the values that make America great.
