Back to School with Alliance For Children! Back to School Connection 2024 For some of our families in crisis, even the provision of a backpack and basic school supplies for their children isn't a reality. This year, the community rallied around us to send over 150 of our kids to the classroom fully prepared to brave the new school year at no cost! A HUGE thank you to EVERYONE who donated their time, talent, and treasure to this special project and made it possible to gear up our kids for another amazing school year! Piston Haus partnered with Hub Insurance and held a backpack drive at their car show on Saturday, July 13th. Kid Mania is providing free admission to our kids and Main Event donated gift cards so our kids can enjoy some free fun in the coming weeks! Our friends at The Sour Boule - a locally owned bakery and café in West Fort Worth - also collected backpacks for our kids. With help from our Board Members, we organized and stuffed backpacks with grade-appropriate school supplies, hygiene kits, candy, fidget toys, gift cards, and informative community resource flyers. At each of our centers, our kids got to handpick their backpacks for this school year. They were so excited to get to self-select their pack and for the fun goodies inside! SAVE THE DATE! Be a Hero   Orangetheory Gives Back Maverick Fitness Holdings, the company that owns Orangetheory fitness studios, has chosen Alliance For Children as their "charity of the month" for September! "OrangeLove" is their nonprofit charitable giving initiative, where one charity is highlighted for a month in their 35 Orangetheory fitness studios across North Texas. Studio members are encouraged to participate by checking in on social media and tagging the charity to help raise awareness. At the end of the month-long campaign, Maverick Fitness Holdings will present us with a generous financial donation toward our mission!
