Hi John,
I’ve been talking a lot about SNAP lately – and for good reason.
If you’re new here, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps 42 million Americans feed their families.
It’s a lifeline for 2-year-old Cobe (pictured above with his pup). Growing up in rural Arkansas, children like him are more likely to face food insecurity.
Without access to transportation, simply getting to the grocery store is a struggle. Not to mention the rising cost of living, which makes nutritious meals hard to afford.
SNAP helps Cobe’s mom put food on the table. If lawmakers don’t protect this lifesaving program, kids like him could go hungry. [[link removed]]
When we surveyed voters in swing states, 89% said boosting SNAP funding would be a huge help for families. Because as critical as this support is, the average recipient receives just $6.20 per day.
That budget can only stretch so far, John. Especially in today’s economy.
Children don’t choose to live in poverty. No matter their circumstances, kids like Cobe deserve a chance to thrive.
I know you agree, John: Having enough to eat is a right, not a privilege. Tell Congress to strengthen SNAP benefits! [[link removed]]
Thanks for being a voice for kids,
