Today you have the opportunity to protect checks and balances in our state constitution. Political insiders and special interests added two deliberately confusing constitutional amendments to the August ballot. Their goal is to take advantage of a low turnout election and confusing language to change our constitution – getting rid of checks and balances that ensure fairness and representation for all Wisconsinites.
There are several primary races today, too. We’ve endorsed three primary candidates this round. Check out our full list here. These candidates are conservation champions and leaders in their communities. They are running strong campaigns that share our values – clean water, clean air, an equitable democracy, and the pursuit of clean energy.
Organizing Director Casey Hicks and Deputy Director Seth Hoffmeister voted NO!
The polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Remember, if you are in line by 8 p.m., you cannot be turned away. Check your polling location here!
This is a great day to help protect our health, livelihoods, democracy, and planet.
Thank you for being a conservation voter, and thank you for voting NO today,
