Hi everyone – so many exciting things have been happening!

VP Harris announced she is running for President, then she announced Tim Walz
as her running mate. Meanwhile Doris has accomplished so much in Congress and
in Sacramento — all in just the past few weeks!See what she’s been up to:

✔️ Announced $17,842,452 in federal funding for La Familia’s Greening North
Franklin Project, an initiative to reduce pollution and build climate
resilience in South Sacramento.

✔️ Introduced the Semiconductor Technology Advancement and Research (STAR)
Act, a bipartisan piece of legislation that will advance U.S. leadership in
global innovation by incentivizing semiconductor research and development
initiatives.

✔️ Reintroduced the Cruise Passenger Protection Act, legislation to better
protect passengers aboard cruise ships through updated passenger safety
standards and cruise line reporting requirements.

And we’re not even finished with August yet! Doris has been hard at work, and
we must continue to support her while she fights for us in Congress.
