It’s official, folks: Shady Republican out-of-state groups are flooding New Mexico with six figures worth of attack ads in an attempt to unseat me. And this is only the start.

The dark money group that launched the latest bad-faith ad, Jefferson Rising Fund, is led by Donald Trump’s former campaign manager. Trump’s allies are fully invested in helping my multimillionaire, former hedge fund executive opponent win. Trump considers New Mexico a toss-up and is ready to flip the Senate along with it. Republicans are proving they will spare no expense to do it.

We can’t let Trump’s inner circle, outside groups, and Wall Street buy this election. They don’t care about working families in New Mexico, or the beauty of our mesas, the boundlessness of our skies, or the closeness of our communities.

Between these outside groups and my opponent’s personal fortune, we have our work cut out for us. But we can keep New Mexico blue and hold the Senate majority if we build a strong foundation of grassroots support headed into the final three months of this election.
