John,
While a lunch box full of tasty goodies provides the nutrition a child needs at school, a note left by Mom, Dad, or another loved one provides feelings of comfort and support that help the child get through their day.
That’s why I’m reaching out to YOU:
We need your help to share notes with the children who benefit from school meals programs but who may not get a note in their lunch box from a loved one.
Will you help pack a lunch and share a note now with a child who gets a nutritious meal at school thanks to your support?
Do you remember how nervous and excited you were going back to school after the summer, John?
For me, having a well-packed lunch box at school with a note from Mamá always helped me feel safe and secure. The note made it seem like my lunch box was packed with not only food but also her love. It’s truly unfortunate that so many kids in America don’t get to experience the same joy that comes from opening their lunch box and seeing a delicious meal with a note from a loved one on top.
But what I can tell you is that, together, we are making a difference.
Through my work with No Kid Hungry, I’ve met so many of the amazing children who are thriving thanks to the nutritious meals supporters like you make possible — and I know they would love to hear from you.
In fact, I can think of no one better than YOU to help pack a lunch box with a note for a child who benefits from your support. Will you choose the items to add and share a note in the lunch box of a child who avoids hunger at school thanks to you?
Thank you for all the ways you support our mission for hungry kids.
