Out of State Physician Suspended
OLYMPIA, WA – In July 2024, the Washington Medical Commission (WMC) indefinitely suspended the license of Lokesh Tantuwaya, MD (Lic. #60432704). Tantuwaya is a neurosurgeon who practiced in California.
In May 2023, the WMC issued a statement of charges alleging that Tantuwaya committed unprofessional conduct when his license was suspended in California due to a federal criminal conviction.
Tantuwaya failed to appear at a WMC scheduled pre-hearing conference in response to the charges against him and was indefinitely suspended. He may petition for reinstatement in the future.
