Hi, friend, Coach Steve Kerr, here. You may know me as coach of the Golden State Warriors, but I’m also a father, a gun violence survivor, and one of the many Americans who has had ENOUGH of the gun violence epidemic that is killing our children.
And I'm not the only one! With Tim Walz nominated to the VP ticket, we have a former NRA darling turned school safety and gun violence prevention hero on the ballot. We need to be fired up and advocate for the safety of America's children.
If you're with us in this fight, will you chip in $5 to fund Brady's work to make sure kids get to grow up without the threat of violence? We've set a goal of raising $100,000 by the end of this week to ensure Brady has the resources to keep up the fight going into the new school year, and we can't afford to fall behind on our goal, so Brady is matching ALL donations for first time donors!

Right now, it's back-to-school season. Across the country, kids and their families are shopping for school supplies, getting ready to return to school after the summer break. I remember the routine well.
Kids should be worrying about what kind of backpack they're going to get, whether they'll be in the same classes as their friends, and which teachers they're going to have. Instead, too many young students are worrying about hiding under their desk and being shot in their classroom.
Our children should never have been burdened with this. These kids are part of a new generation that has been created by our leaders' spineless inaction — a Lockdown Generation.
These are the kids who have grown up in the shadow of Columbine, Sandy Hook, Parkland, Nashville, Uvalde, and hundreds of other school shootings.
They're the kids who have been told to bring clear backpacks to school to prevent guns from being smuggled into classrooms.
They're the kids who have been drilling lockdown procedures to prepare for what they have been taught is inevitable: not if a gunman will shoot up their school, but when.
Gun violence is the number one killer for kids and teens – I refuse to accept that this is how life has to be for our children and that’s why I work with Brady to END the gun violence epidemic once and for all.
As kids are going back to school this month, it's on us to fight for a safer world for them — and here's how you can do that, friend: Make a MATCHED donation right now to help Brady meet their $100,000 goal so they can continue their work across Congress, the courts, and in communities to end gun violence and prevent the next school shooting from happening.
