Here’s What’s at Stake:
Right now, the Governor has the power to spend billions in federal funds without any input from the state legislature—the very body that represents you, the people. This unchecked authority has led to reckless spending, with your tax dollars being funneled into pet projects and special interest groups without transparency or oversight.
When I was serving in the State Senate, I saw firsthand how Governor Jim Doyle did everything he could to spend, spend, spend. And Governor Evers is doing the same thing now. And that's why we need to enact these Constitutional Amendments.
By Voting YES on August 13th, You’ll:
- Reinforce the “Power of the Purse”: These amendments will make sure that the legislature—your voice in Madison—has the final say on how every dollar is spent, putting a stop to unchecked executive spending.
- Protect Taxpayer Dollars: Voting YES ensures that government spending is controlled and responsible, preventing wasteful use of federal funds that could lead to higher taxes down the road.
- Uphold Conservative Values: By requiring legislative approval for the expenditure of federal funds, these amendments return power to the people and protect our state from the dangers of big government.
We have a chance to make a real difference on August 13th. By voting YES on Questions 1 and 2, we can ensure that Wisconsin remains a beacon of conservative values and fiscal sanity.
Thank you for standing with me in this important fight. Please encourage your friends and family to get out and vote YES on August 13th.
Together, let’s protect Wisconsin’s future.
