A new study has found that four major Earth systems critical to our survival are on a path to total collapse - including the ice sheets of Greenland and Antarctica, the Amazon rainforest, and the Atlantic currents that keep Europe warm.

At this point, they have roughly 50/50 odds of surviving or collapsing during the next three centuries depending on how we react.
