To support these policies, we need: - Strategic Border Walls: Building walls in high-impact areas, such as cities and near highways, to deter and slow down illegal crossers.
- Modern Surveillance Technology: Implementing advanced surveillance systems to quickly identify and track border crossers.
- Increased Border Patrol Agents: Ensuring we have enough agents to apprehend those who cross illegally.
- More Efficient Legal Channels: History has shown that legal migration reduces illegal immigration. With reduced flows, Border Patrol is better able to focus on stopping threats to our national security and rule of law.
Our comprehensive approach, which Chief Clem terms “tall fences and wide gates”, will help ensure that our borders are secure, our communities are safe, and the rule of law is upheld.
