Of course, we can glean certain
aspects on how Kamala Harris plans to govern based not upon the
positions she’s articulated, but instead on the positions she’s walked
back since her 2020 run. She’s made clear that she no longer supports
Medicare For All despite 68 million Americans dying needlessly every
year due to lack of coverage. She no longer supports a fracking ban as
the planet burns. Without saying a single word, Kamala assures the
billionaire class that she’s all about maintaining the deadly status
quo.
As for the ongoing genocide in
Gaza, now in its 10th horrific month, Kamala has at times struck a
softer, more sympathetic tone than Biden when it comes to the plight
of the Palestinian people. But her mask fell off last Wednesday when
she was confronted by protesters righteously chanting “We won’t vote
for genocide!” and she callously replied “If you
want Donald Trump to win, then say that. Otherwise, I’m
speaking!”
Having been shaken by the bad
publicity that outburst inspired, two days later at an Arizona rally,
she tried to reassure protesters that she’s been “working around the
clock” for a ceasefire.
But her words ring empty for the
people of Gaza. The Biden-Harris administration approved yet another 3
billion dollar arms transfer to Israel just days ago and on Saturday
morning, Israel unleashed three 2,000 bombs upon refugees in a school
where they were sheltering. At least 100 innocent souls were massacred
during their morning prayers.
The genocide must
stop now!
At any time during the past 10
months, the Biden-Harris administration has had the power to end this
with a single phone call. Instead the money and arms flow freely to
Israel, and they’ve been given the go-ahead to escalate with
impunity.
We
can’t
afford another four years of endless war, empire and oligarchy that
Kamala Harris is offering. Jill Stein is the only anti-genocide,
pro-worker, pro-planet candidate with a path to the White House this
November. Can you donate now to make sure the dirty duopoly can’t
silence her message to millions of voters who share her
values?
