John — On July 22, we hit the hottest day ever recorded. Then, on July 23, the record was broken again. This is another alarming sign of how the climate crisis is pushing our planet to dangerous new extremes.

Despite the urgent warnings from climate scientists to take immediate action, Senator Joe Manchin, who has long been cozy with Big Oil, is busy cutting deals that benefit the fossil fuel industry.

Manchin is teaming up with Republican Senator John Barrasso to push a dangerous piece of legislation that would fast-track permits for fossil fuel projects and undermine public input on critical energy decisions.

This would amount to a HUGE giveaway to the fossil fuel industry and a slap in the face to the vast majority of Americans who demand decisive climate action.
