Friends and Comrades - Our big focus this week is pressuring the City Council to vote NO on funding more armored vehicles for city cops. The militarization of police forces around this state and country does nothing to protect citizens, is a huge waste of public funds, and actually make us all less safe. No More Machines of War for Santa Fe Police!

There is a Budget Amendment Resolution in front of the Santa Fe City Council to allocate $1,107,000 to purchase two armored vehicles and an explosive ordnance disposal vehicle for the Santa Fe Police Department (these are called "mine resistant ambush protected" vehicles and are used in warfare). Please take action against this misuse of public funds, which will further militarize our police:

Join Uncommitted NM, SFJP, and other organizations in Albuquerque for a rally demanding an end to the genocide in Palestine, an arms embargo on Israel, a reallocation of resources away from war!

Benefit Concert for Alianza Tenant Union!

At our August General Meeting, we will have the chance to elect 4 At-Large Organizer positions for 6 month terms. At-Large Organizers are voting members of our Organizing Committee and have the opportunity to pursue organizing goals that interest them.??
