There will be a whole host of activities, walks and displays from organisations working to protect wildlife and the environment across Nottinghamshire. Admission is free, parking charges apply.

Befriend the Hooboos and the four-metre high Mega Bunny, or cheer up the sad octopus! The University of Nottingham’s public arts centre has opened a free summer exhibition featuring giant, brightly coloured creatures, that have taken over the galleries to the delight of Nottingham families.

Leaping from the imagination of Nottingham-based artist Bruce Asbestos, Monster Fun is accompanied by crafts activities and a monster trail around the lake - giving you a chance to win free tickets for their Christmas theatre show.

There are two cafés on site, as well as a playground, crazy golf and boating lake.
