John—a world without elephants is unimaginable. But thousands are killed every year, slaughtered for the illegal wildlife trade. Vulnerable wildlife—like elephants and many other species—won't survive without our help.
Today is World Elephant Day, and we're hoping to find 180 people who will create a safer world for wildlife by symbolically adopting an elephant with a monthly gift! |

Help us reach our goal and make a huge difference for threatened wildlife and their habitats while sustaining WWF's critical conservation work around the globe 365 days a year. |

Hi John,
The bond between a mother elephant and her calf is one of the closest of any mammal. Calves rely completely on their mothers as they learn to survive in the wild.
This is so tragic: poaching for the illegal elephant ivory trade leaves many young elephants orphaned and facing an uncertain future. A staggering number of elephants are killed each year for their tusks. Poaching—and habitat loss and fragmentation resulting in increased human-wildlife conflict—threaten the survival of so many species, including tigers and black rhinos.
World Elephant Day—today!—is the ideal moment to come together and create a safer world for vulnerable wildlife everywhere.
Act now to help keep precious wildlife like elephants in our world. When you start your monthly donation, you'll protect threatened species and their habitats from many threats—and you'll help us reach our goal of 180 World Elephant Day donors. |
