Friend, I’m sure you’ve been receiving a lot of emails lately, and you deserve an explanation as to why that is.

I’m running against a self-funding megamillionaire who’s spending a fortune trying to flip this seat red.

No GOP Senate challenger raised more than Eric Hovde last quarter, powered by a $5 million check he cut his campaign.

In every campaign I’ve run, I’ve counted on the support from everyday folks to power our work. I’ve been supported by the hard-earned dollars of people across the state who wanted to make a difference.

I don’t have the luxury of cutting myself a seven-figure check like my opponent can, but that’s okay — because I have people like you, friend, who I can count on to chip in what they can, when they can.

These emails can be pesky sometimes. Believe me, I know. But I wouldn’t be sending you this message if I didn’t think your donation could make a difference in our campaign to defend Wisconsin’s Senate seat.

So I’m humbly asking: Can you chip in any amount today to split a donation between Sherrod Brown’s campaign and my campaign to help me defend this seat and our Democratic Senate majority along with it? I can’t do this alone.
