Less than two months to go! I’m not sure time has ever flown this fast before.
I believe in the utmost transparency when it comes to campaign financing (and it doesn’t hurt that we have a lot of amazing benchmarks we’ve hit). Last quarter was our best fundraising ever and that’s thanks to you.
See for yourself:
We saw a 36% growth in fundraising last quarter. We’re the only campaign in NY-12 to increase its fundraising at all levels every quarter!
Â
More than 70% of contributions are small-dollar and 48% of all funds raised are from donors who have given less than $200. Meanwhile, only 3% of either of our main challengers’, Carolyn Maloney or Suraj Patel, donors are under $200.
Â
IN THE LAST QUARTER, WE SURPASSED THE 26-YEAR INCUMBENT IN SMALL-DOLLAR FUNDRAISING!
We know NY-12 is ready for change. This fundraising proves it. This is no time to relax. Now is the time to go hard and finish beating the establishment.
We received some big news this week when I was endorsed by Real Progress in Action. Like me, they're grassroots progressives dedicated to the Green New Deal, M4A, and other policies that will put people first. For a full list of endorsements click here.
Every Friday I host a Policy Power Hour where you can learn more about my platform and vision for NY-12 and the country. Last week I was joined by Left Flank Vets and we discussed how veterans affairs are intersectional with every other major issue in the nation. I encourage you to watch our discussion below.
Lauren Ashcraft with Left Flank Vets for a Virtual Policy Power Hour
There’s no denying it: this is an unprecedented time. But among all this uncertainty, something I am certain about: my commitment to representing every member of New York’s 12th district in Congress. Although we can’t meet in-person, we have plenty of opportunities for you to ask me any questions—thanks to the Internet! Will we see you this week?
Thursday (4/30) 8pm EDT: Criminal Justice Town Hall
Congressional candidates Mckayla Wilkes, Sheila Bryant and Anthony Clark join me for a discussion about criminal justice and the challenges of COVID-19 in prison facilities and among incarcerated individuals.Â
Friday (5/1) 1pm EDT: Policy Power Hour
Tune in on Fridays to learn more about my platform, one issue at a time. This week we’re discussing yet another sector of policy in depth. (Stay tuned for details.)
Saturday (5/2) 7pm EDT: Twitch Time
After a busy week, I need to relax for a bit. Come join me on Twitch! I’ll be answering questions while I get back to my Fortnite roots and dish out policy while I take down noobs!
See you on the world wide web!
Sincerely,
P. S. If you have any questions about COVID-19 and need answers about resources and programs in place for assistance, please check out our NYC COVID-19 Info Center. Now in English and Spanish!
