Many people who seek political office do so because they need a career. In fact, our entire political structure is dominated by professional politicians.
But not Dr. Michael Goldstein. The 74-year-old Greenwich ophthalmologist (eye surgeon) and lawyer is financially secure. He could be in Florida reducing his handicap. He could be hanging out at the beach nursing Pina Coladas while reading the latest Ken Follett thriller.

Instead, he is seeking to unseat Jim Himes, an entrenched incumbent who does little for Fairfield County but raises huge amounts of money from corporate America and returns the favor by being their sock puppet.
Michael broke the Energy story several weeks before everyone. Now you are all up in arms about your Eversource bills. And if you are stuck in traffic, blame Himes and get to the polls. Michael has solutions for I-95
Here are the Dr. Goldstein’s Seven Deadly Sins [ [link removed] ]of the Biden/Harris/Himes administration:
First – They have done nothing to stop traffic congestion on Route 95 and the Merritt Parkway
Second - They Took Away Our Affordable Energy
Third - They Came After Our Children With Their Transgender Agenda and Plan to Destroy Women’s Sports
Fourth - They Opened the Border to Everyone Including Terrorists, Criminals, Gang Members, Drug Dealers, Child and Sex Traffickers
Fifth - They Have Turned Our Healthcare System Into a Bureaucratic Overpriced System Where Patients, Doctors and Other Healthcare Providers Don’t Matter
Sixth - They Have Legitimized Antisemitic Riots and Physical Assaults Against Jews and Jewish Institutions
Seventh - Crime Pays
Michael was a complete unknown two years ago and garnered 40% of the votes in a primary in only eight weeks of being on the scene.
Many of you two years ago learned of Michael as a freedom-fighting physician and patriot and went to the ballot box. Since then, Michael has continued to train like a good boxer does and has not stopped fighting. Michael, as the underdog, almost picked up the party endorsement. He lost that by just a handful of votes.
This only galvanized Michael’s resolve to fight. His campaign has received dozens more endorsements than his opponent. Michael’s endorsements are meaningful ones consisting of elected officials, national organizations, local organizations, grassroots, organizations and groups that are comprised of everyday hardworking Americans like you.
The party endorsements that Michael has earned from your elected officials and candidates indicate that this is the man they want fighting side-by-side with them in the ring for us to win November.
Primaries are fights within the party to pick the best candidate to represent you in a general election. Michael Goldstein is a Man of the People and that’s what ROW B is all about.
Michael has cared for the eyes of 1,500 boxers including Oscar de La Hoya and Evander Holyfield. Thus, it’s only appropriate to call this primary a Rocky story. Michael has been the common sense conservative and man of the people. His whole campaign has been about taking it to the people, taking it to the streets, taking it to you and your families and showing you why he has earned your support. That’s exactly what he’s done.
It’s a Rocky moment and Dr. Goldstein is that true fighter.
Let’s put a doctor in the House to reduce our healthcare costs and tackle the challenging issues facing Connecticut such as energy, education, housing, infrastructure and the border.
Fight with Michael and Vote with Him on ROW B on Tuesday August 13.
