John,
We’re thrilled to share that just last week, 17 of our endorsed candidates in Michigan and Missouri won their primaries and are advancing to the general election in November.
We couldn’t be more proud to stand behind these pro-choice champions, many of whom will have some of the closest races in the country this November. Check them out:
-
Alyshia Dyer won her race for Washtenaw County Sheriff in Michigan by less than 400 votes. She has pledged to increase community trust of the local police and help build an equitable justice system.
-
Shawna Ackerson (MO HD-161) is running to break up Missouri’s anti-choice supermajority. With a deep understanding of reproductive freedom, she emphasizes: “It is crucial to address the intersectionality of reproductive justice, acknowledging that marginalized communities often face compounded challenges in accessing essential healthcare services.”
-
Aisha Farooqi (MI HD-57) confirmed a rematch of a 2022 race against a GOP opponent, which she lost by fewer than 2,000 votes. We were proud to stand behind her campaign in 2022, and we know that a pro-choice victory is possible in this district.
-
Janise O'Neil Robinson (MI HD-28) is running in Michigan’s top targeted seat for Democrats —this race was won by a margin of just 700 votes last cycle.
We focus on some of the tightest, toughest races around the country because we know that when we invest in these races and support candidates with a strong pro-choice message, we win.
These races are often won or lost by just hundreds of votes, which means that grassroots supporters like you can have an outsized impact.
And that’s not all: investing in these races benefits the entire Democratic ticket because when voters are excited about their state and local leaders, they turn out to vote all the way up the ballot.
With just a few primaries left and less than 90 days until the general election, we are all in on these pro-choice champions.
Can you join us with a donation of $18.33 to help us turn out 3 new pro-choice voters in the races where it matters most?
With gratitude,
Carly LeQuire
