Hey John,
At a time when their services are more important than ever before, funding for the United States Postal Service is running dry, and the USPS needs urgent help. But the federal government is reluctant to give the USPS a dime of emergency funding, which is why we’re asking you to sign on and pressure them to reverse course. [[link removed]]
Here’s how the pandemic has made the role of the postal service even more essential:
*
With
face-to-face
communication
at
a
temporary
halt,
more
people
are
relying
on
mail
to
connect
with
friends
and
family.
*
And
amidst
this
time
of
uncertainty,
the
USPS
is
still
delivering
prescription
medication
to
those
who
need
to
stay
indoors
and
paychecks
to
those
facing
financial
insecurities.
*
Plus,
the
USPS
will
play
a
critical
role
in
upcoming
elections.
Voting
by
mail
is
quickly
becoming
the
preferred
method
to
cast
ballots
during
the
pandemic,
and
we
will
count
on
the
USPS
to
make
sure
voting
is
accessible.
All of us rely on postal workers who are serving on the front lines and providing essential services. Now it’s time for us to support them and their work.
Despite their struggles, the USPS isn’t getting any financial help from the federal government. Tell the Trump administration to stop jeopardizing this critical service and fund the USPS immediately. [[link removed]]
