This is why we won’t stop talking about Gaza.

Jill Stein for President

Friend,

For the last six weeks, it’s been increasingly difficult to find mainstream news reporting about Israel’s continued campaign of mass murder against the people of Palestine.

Instead, there has been endless and breathless reporting on the palace intrigue of the presidential race – from Joe Biden’s debate performance to Kamala’s coronation, and everything in between.

Every time you see another cable news host cracking jokes about JD Vance and couches, remember that they’re NOT talking about the fact that Israel is still killing Palestinians in Gaza. Every. Single. Day.

Including today.

A graphic featuring a headline from Al
Jazeera, which reads: “Israeli strike on Gaza school kills more than
100 people. Authorities in Gaza said Israeli bombs hit the
school-turned-shelter as people were praying and triggered a fire.”
Included is a photo of survivors digging through the rubble of the
school in the aftermath.

Just hours ago, Israel dropped three 2,000-pound bombs supplied by the Biden-Harris administration on the al-Tabin school in Gaza City, which was functioning as a shelter for displaced Palestinians – including women, children, and the elderly.

The bombs struck as they were engaged in morning prayers. Many who didn’t die in the initial blast were killed instead by the fire that ripped through the building afterwards.

It’s been four months since the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor estimated that Israel has dropped over 70,000 tons of bombs on Gaza – nearly FOUR TIMES the total bombs the Luftwaffe dropped on London in WW-II.

It has not stopped – and it will not stop until we stop giving Israel bombs.

The bombs dropped on the al-Tabin school today were just three of the more than 14,000 MK-84, 2,000-pound bombs Biden has given Netanyahu since October 7th.

Since Biden dropped out of the presidential race, many activists within the Democratic party who have relentlessly fought for an end to this genocide have cautiously embraced Harris and her candidacy – believing that President Biden won’t stop capitulating to Israel, but a possible President Harris would.

This is her chance to prove it.

Harris has the power now to pressure Biden for a full arms embargo against Israel – and a permanent ceasefire. If she expects to earn the support of those who oppose this indiscriminate slaughter, she has to answer those demands.

The signs are not encouraging, however. The latest shipment of MK-84s was part of ANOTHER $3B military “aid package” for Israel authorized by the Biden-Harris administration only days ago – around the same time Vice President Harris told pro-Palestine protesters in Detroit, “I’m speaking now.”

We won’t accept another four years of lip service from Democrats who talk about peace while supplying weapons to war criminals and facilitating the extermination of an entire people.

For those committed to ending this genocide, there is only one choice this November. Ours is the ONLY anti-genocide, pro-peace, pro-planet, pro-worker campaign with a pathway to the White House. Help me get our campaign in front of every voter who supports a ceasefire and lasting peace with justice.

DONATE NOW

Israel’s damnable assault on the al-Tabin school is far from an isolated incident. There are at least 200 documented Israeli air strikes against schools over the last 10 months – a number we are certain is undercounted.

Much like the over 600 strikes against hospitals, aid stations, and first responders, Israel’s continued attacks on schools and refugee shelters are flagrant violations of international law.

By supplying the weapons, we are participating in their war crimes, and we will not allow those responsible to turn a blind eye.

Over 100 people died in today’s bombing on this school. After so many months of relentless bombing, the numbers begin to blur together.

But they are not numbers. They are people. They deserved to live, and we owe them justice.

We will not allow the beautiful souls of the Palestinian people to be reduced to rubble and statistics. Stand with me and make this campaign as strong as we can so we can deliver our mandate for people, planet, and peace on November 5th.

As Gaza goes, we all go.

In solidarity and gratitude,

Jill
