Hey John,
We wanted to take a minute to cut through some of the noise and chatter of this week and break down a few of the reasons why we are excited about Gov. Walz and his record.
We also hope that if you’re not already on board, you’ll join the fight after reading this email, and get ready to support this new presidential ticket with all you’ve got. You can save this link for later, and make a split donation if and when you’re ready. But if you’re still not sold, keep reading!
For starters, he’s good for workers. As Governor of Minnesota, he signed one of the most pro-worker pieces of legislation that the state has ever seen. It included paid family and medical leave, mandated paid sick days, strengthened teachers’ unions, and cracked down on union busting.
He’s good on education. Walz is a former high school football coach and social studies teacher — and upon being elected Governor, signed a bill that provided free school breakfast and lunch for kids, and increased spending for public schools by $2.3 billion.
He’s good on housing. Last year, he signed a historic $1 billion housing investment into law, which included down payment assistance programs, rental assistance programs, and HUGE investments in homelessness prevention.
He’s good on health care. After Roe v. Wade was overturned, Walz signed a statewide bill that guaranteed the right of all Minnesotans to make their own autonomous choices about abortion, contraception, and fertility treatments.
He also signed bills to ban conversion therapy; shield those seeking and providing gender-affirming care; and legally protect patients and providers if they receive care in Minnesota after traveling from a state where it’s banned.
He’s good on climate. As governor, he passed a law requiring Minnesota to move to 100% clean energy by 2040, implemented additional tax rebates for electric vehicles, and invested more in vehicle charging stations.
And he did all this with a NARROW legislative majority. At a time when most politicians shy away from bold ideas that help working families, Tim Walz showed up.
This doesn't mean we’ll never disagree with Tim Walz or Vice President Harris, or that we'll never have contrasting views on policy. But we’re ready to do everything we can to elect them over the next 87 days, and we hope you’ll join us.
Can you split a contribution between Harris/Walz and the WFP General Election Fund today? The contrast between these two tickets couldn’t be clearer, and we can’t afford to let up off the pedal.

These next few weeks are so, so critical, John.
Kamala Harris and Tim Walz have a ton of momentum. And it’s on all of us to double down while Trump and his MAGA pals are still on their heels.
Between now and November, WFP and our biggest allies plan to knock on over five million doors across key swing states.
We want to reach voters everywhere — on the streets, at the doorstep, and over the phone lines.
But a nationwide plan like that takes time and resources. And with just 87 days until the election, there’s not a moment to lose.
Make a split donation between the Harris/Walz campaign and WFP’s General Election Fund now, and ensure that our movement has the resources and energy to win big in November.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
