Hi John — it’s great to formally meet you!
I am Cassandra Chavez, Organizing Director here at the California Democratic Party.
It’s my job to coordinate all of our mobilization efforts across the entire state — including in our most competitive tossup U.S. House races.
I’m constantly poring over the data to determine where to open our next regional office, deploy our next organization, or hold key events.
I love my job. The only frustrating part is when we are all set on expanding our operations, but we have to pull back or hold off because of budget.
That’s why I am introducing myself and asking if you would consider making a special gift of $35 or more today. This will help bolster our organizing budget and ensure that dollars and cents are never the reason we fall short in November. Will you pitch in?

We know that control of the U.S. House is very likely to come down to swing districts here in California, so we have been doing a *LOT* these last few months to prepare. So far we’ve:
— Opened multiple new regional offices;
— Expanded our intern program for new roles in digital communications and attracting the youth vote;
— Hired new organizers in the most competitive swing districts;
— And so much more!
But we cannot take our foot off the gas now, and the closer we get to the election the tighter our budgets are going to get.
That’s why I’m taking my lunch break today to write this email appeal to you, John. Will you rush a donation of $35 or more to fuel our organizing efforts from today until November?
