Election season is here, and we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know!
The Democratic primary is on Tuesday, September 10th. You must be registered by Saturday, August 17th – but the good news is that you can register online by visiting IVote.de.gov! You can also find your polling location here.
Can any registered voter participate in the September 10th primary?
No. Delaware has closed primaries, meaning you must be a registered Democrat to vote in the Democratic primary. You can review your registration here.
When can I vote on September 10th?
Polls are open on September 10th from 7:00am to 8:00pm.
What if I won’t be in Delaware on the day of the primary?
No worries – you can request an absentee ballot. Please send yours in as soon as possible, though, because completed absentee ballots must be received (via mail) by the Department of Elections by September 10th at 8:00pm in order to be counted. September 6th is the last day to submit a request for an absentee ballot.
You can also vote early from August 28th to August 31st and on September 3rd between the hours of 11:00am-7:00pm. Between September 4th and September 8th, you can vote early from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
