Did you see this important message from Paul? Right now, trickle-downers like President Trump and Mitch McConnell are making anti-democratic pleas to silence voters' voices by stopping vote-by-mail efforts - during a pandemic, no less - and we can't let them get away with it.
Vote-by-mail is a sign of a strong, healthy democracy - a democracy where voting is secure, easy, equitable, and accessible to a large number of people.
We've already seen the disastrous results of traditional voting this year: At least 19 people were infected with COVID-19 in Wisconsin's recent election, and voters in Texas had to wait up to SIX HOURS to vote. In the middle of a pandemic, that's a deadly problem.
We're asking you to fight back against Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell's inaction: Demand Congress give all Americans the option to vote-by-mail and protect the validity of our elections!

Thanks for taking a bold stand to protect the people of our country and our democracy.

Subject: Protecting our elections from Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell
No one should have to risk their life to vote. That's why, during this public health crisis, it's absolutely critical that Congress passes universal vote-by-mail for every voter.
Vote-by-mail (VBM) is a no-brainer: It makes voting easier, it's cheaper for states, voters can vote on their own time, it's more secure, and most importantly, turnout increases. Isn't that what a healthy democracy is all about?
Not according to President Trump, who falsely argued, "They had things - levels of voting that, if you ever agreed to it, you'd never have a Republican elected in this country again."
Trump's wrong about this. States with strong Republican leadership like Utah and Ohio have embraced VBM - and Republicans are routinely elected to statewide office in deep-blue VBM states like Washington. Expanding access to voting isn't a partisan issue - it's just a problem for a tiny minority of unpopular lawmakers who can only stay in power by suppressing wide swaths of the electorate - in other words, bad politicians.
More often than not, those who want to suppress the vote are trickle-downers like President Trump and Mitch McConnell who serve the corporations and the rich - not everyday people. That's why they're fighting tooth and nail to stop VBM, because they know they would never get elected if it were easier to vote.
Unfortunately, Donald Trump and those who agree with him are willing to risk the lives of voters to depress voter turnout. We need to fight back and demand Congress immediately pass a national vote-by-mail law to protect the validity of the 2020 elections:
Add your name now to demand Congress give all Americans the option to vote-by-mail and protect the validity of our elections!

Our country's voting access has never kept pace with voting equality. First, only wealthy, white male property owners could vote, and it was easy for them to take a day off of work to head to the polls. Now, while we have expanded to near-universal voting enfranchisement, we have not expanded universal voting accessibility.
People in states without VBM can't always afford to take time off from work or their family to wait in line for hours and hours (or even get an ID to allow them to vote). And now, because of this pandemic, many folks can't afford to take the risk that voting in person requires - and they shouldn't have to.
That's why we're asking you to add your voice and call on Congress to give Americans the option to vote-by-mail.
Before it's too late, we need you to demand immediate change: Add your name now to demand Congress give all Americans the option to vote-by-mail and protect the validity of our elections!
