👁️ Instead of feeling empowered by the surgery that gave her sight at 36, Olivia Durant writes in a first-person essay about the pain and disorientation she experienced. Now a California-based content creator, she drew on her tough Pittsburgh upbringing to rebuild her life.

📖 In a partnership with WESA, reporters examined the maintenance score cards kept by the city school district, which may give clues to which school buildings face closures. Not everyone agrees on how the district graded the schools.
