We Need America-First Republicans šŸ™

Frustration is growing over Americaā€™s relentless funding of terrorismā€”and if
you ask me, it ought to be the biggest dadgum story on the news.

A government watchdog organization recently released information thatā€™s left
me gobsmacked: Since 2021, the UN and a host of other groups have funneled a
mind-blowing$3.8 billion
<[link removed]>
U.S. dollars into Taliban-led Afghanistan.

Veterans are outraged, everyday Americans are furious, and I refuse to sit
back and watch this happenā€”these terrorists donā€™t deserve another red cent.

Thatā€™s why I introduced the No Tax Dollars for the Taliban Act
<[link removed]>
to slam the brakes on this insanity, and while it passed in the House, itā€™s
now stuck in legislative limbo while Congress takes yet another vacation.

As I mentioned on my podcast, Tennessee Talks, itā€™s like these folks are
allergic to work. We started August recess a week early, leaving critical
legislation like this to gather dust.

Meanwhile, weā€™ve just hit the $35 trillion
<[link removed]>
mark in Americaā€™s debt crisisā€”all thanks to irresponsible spending like this.
Every dollar is borrowed, and every dollar we take limits Americansā€™ ability to
earn a living and save for the future.

This isnā€™t just about passing a billā€”itā€™s about restoring faith in our
government by telling the world that America will no longer be an ATM for evil
terrorists. And after all ourveterans
<[link removed]>
sacrificed over in Afghanistan, itā€™s the very least we can do to honor their
service.

So, how do we untangle this mess? How do we pass meaningful legislation on
time? The answer is clear as day: We need to elect more America-first
Republicans. Ourrazor-thin majority
<[link removed]>
isnā€™t cutting it. The Speaker is always on edge, wondering whether heā€™ll have
the votes to push anything of substance through.

Itā€™s time to get our values back on track in Washington. We canā€™t kick the can
down the road as America bleeds money, putting our future on the line.

We need representatives who will fight tooth and nail to put an end to
reckless spending and ensure that every dollar spent serves the interests of
our constituents.

Taking Care of District Business šŸ§”

If thereā€™s any bright side to this August recess, itā€™s that it gives me time
to tend to things back in the district.

I recently visited the Tennessee Department of Transportation
<[link removed]> to get some updates
on road projects and infrastructure priorities in TN-02ā€”and Iā€™m grateful to the
staff there for keeping me informed. All this information is good to have when
Iā€™m back in Washington fighting for our needs.

The Blount County Lincoln Day Dinner
<[link removed]> was another highlight of
the week, featuring Byron Donalds as our keynote speaker. It was apacked house
<[link removed]> of patriotic
conservatives, which made for a truly amazing evening.

The upcoming weeks will be filled with more speaking events, community
gatherings, and plenty of door knocking in between. Weā€™re in a critical lead-up
to the election and Iā€™m committed to earning every vote!
