Congressman Kim Introduces Bill to Keep Military-Grade Weapons off our Streets
Congressman Kim, joined by Representatives Jamie Raskin and Robert Garcia, as well as Senators Elizabeth Warren and Dick Durbin, in introducing the Stop Militarizing Our Streets Act. This legislation would prohibit Department of Defense owned manufacturing plants and contractors from selling military-grade assault weapons and ammunition to civilians.
The Supreme Court has undermined New Jersey’s protections against military-grade weapons. The Congressman shares local families’ worry about these kinds of guns getting into the wrong hands and is proud to introduce this bill to help give them security, peace of mind, and keep weapons of war out of our communities.

Checking-in on Gateway Project Progress!
Early this week, Congressman Kim joined Congressman Menendez at a couple Gateway Project sites to see its progress up close. The Gateway Project, is one of the most critical infrastructure projects in the nation, and funded in part by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the largest investment in mass transit infrastructure in the nation’s history.
Since helping pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law in 2021, Congressman Kim has prioritized seeing that its funding is allocated to critical infrastructure needs in New Jersey. With the support of this federal funding, the Gateway Project will help us secure reliable transit and economic security for tens of millions of people and countless businesses throughout the East Coast.
