Eversource & UI are Ripping You Off - VOTE ROW B on AUGUST 13

On July 19th we made you aware of the Public Benefits Charge on Your Utility Bill.

3 weeks later, everyone is waking up to this nightmare in Hartford. Yesterday, your CT House & Senate Republicans called for a Special Session on Electric Rates. (See Link)

Last Month, my Public Benefit Charge was $75 and I was outraged - This Month it is $348.80 - I am horrified and YOU SHOULD BE TOO.

It is disgusting that We the People as electric customers get to play the role of the government to Subsidize Government Programs without the tax deduction and without any say in the matter.

This Public Benefit is the new oppressive program and here is what you are paying for:

• People who can’t pay their electric bills

• Solar panel installation on your neighbor’s houses

• Energy saving upgrades to your neighbor’s houses; and

• Other ridiculous programs

This is NOT YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

YOU ARE A CONSUMER - YOU ARE PAYING FOR THE ENERGY USE, NOT FOR SOCIAL WELFARE PROGRAMS FOR ALL.

At the minimum you should get a tax credit; at the maximum - THIS SHOULD BE REPEALED.

I will fight for your rights and I’ll fight to make sure that Rip-offs like this Do not continue. I will also fight to bring more natural gas to CT and mini-nuclear to make your electricity affordable again and ensure we have enough electricity to grow our Connecticut economy and attract new businesses and manufacturing jobs in Constitution State.
