In a new poll released today by the Carolina Journal, results show Hal Weatherman opening up a nearly two point lead against his Democratic opponent, Rachel Hunt.

This is the second poll conducted by the Carolina Journal since the primary. The first poll showed a neck and neck race. The new poll shows Hal Weatherman has begun to move into a clear lead as the campaign moves into the home stretch before the General Election and demonstrates the power of grassroots campaigning and relentless travel around the state.
