Free Activities

There are HUNDREDS of free things to do at the Fair that are included with your gate admission price!  *Kids under 5 and adults 90+ are always free! *Here’s a list of a few of them to get you started on planning your day at the Fair.


* *Duck races:* The Great American Duck Races are back! Four daily shows are entertaining and educational. Located to the Eastside of the Museum. Come cheer on your favorite duck! 
*

*Peppy’s Water Palooza*: Stay cool during a hot summer day at Peppy’s Water Palooza - imaginative and educational play through water. Their water tables are perfect for kids ages 0-10, PLUS parents love the provided seating and stroller friendly accommodations. Visit daily: 10:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. south of the Gary D. Weikel Events Center.


* *Courtyard Stage:* A variety of musical acts will take place on stage for 11 days. Acts like the Blue Mariah Band, Danny Vernon’s Illusions of Elvis, Inochi Taiko drummers, Mexican Folkloric Dancers Bailadores de Bronce, local bands, the Reptileman and more!  
* *Roving Entertainment:* From a one man band, balloon twister, to comedy – they will surprise you!  
* *Contests:* Schedule HERE [ [link removed] ].  Sign-ups are first-come, first-entered on site. This year we will have egg toss, duck calling, water balloon toss, scone walk, quarter in the haystack, and frisbee throwing.
* *International Lumberjack Show:** *Watch as axes are thrown, logs are rolled and Lumberjacks race to the top of 60 foot poles! This family friendly event will be sure to have your jaws dropped. Daily shows at 12:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (no 7:00 p.m. show on Labor Day).  

* *Sky Valley Antique Tractor Display:** *Come visit east of the Pavilion to see the large collection of antique tractors! If you have little ones, they can race around a roped off track in a tractor their own size!  Sponsored by Central Welding.
* *Aztec Indian Dancers:** *2 pm & 6 pm daily (no 6 pm show on Labor Day). Heritage Area.
* *Free Fireworks* on Opening Day! 9 pm in the Grandstands 
* *Kid’s Farmer for a Day:* In Barn #260 - Pick an Apple, Milk a Cow, Dig up a Potato, Gather Eggs - Be a Farmer! 

* *Goat Playground:* See goats play and frolic! East of barn #609

*Gardening with Ciscoe:* Get your gardening questions answered by Ciscoe Morris of "Gardening with Ciscoe" September 1 at 2 p.m. at the Courtyard Stage. Free with paid fair admission.


*

*Circus Luminescence:* A roving comedy juggling show performing August 22-27 and August 29-September 1 all over the fairgrounds!

*Costume Characters: *Interact and get your photo taken with Costume Characters from Enchanting Events such as Spider Guy, Cinderella, Ice Queen, Rapunzel, All American Captain and Bat Guy at the west gate by the Ag Display!


* *Family Fun Activity Center:* “Adventure Alley” is under the Grandstands. Find family activities for all ages. Check out fun activities like Toddler Town, a straw maze, virtual reality station and Evergreen Speedway demo cars!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Animals

For the health and safety of our visitors and animals, no pets are allowed. Please also refrain from touching animals and eating in all animal barns and be sure to wash hand thoroughly with soap and water after coming in contact with any animals.

Adult/Baby Changing Stations

We have family style restrooms available with baby changing stations located in Buildings 100, 200, 301, 401, 501, 601 and 604. There is an adult changing station in the Western Heritage Museum and the 401 restroom.

Community Transit

Getting to the fair has never been so easy! Take the bus and avoid the hassle and expense of driving. Community Transit has extended bus service to the Fair with front-door service⁠ — Routes 270, 271, and 424 will take riders straight to the West Gate entrance. Cash Machines

For your convenience, ATMs are located throughout the Fairgrounds.

Child Safety

We are proud to offer free ID bracelets for kids! Stop by the Lost Person’s Booth (407) to pick up your bracelet. View additional tips on how to keep your child safe [ [link removed] ].

Emergencies

In case of an emergency, please remain calm and listen for official instruction from the PA system. Also, if you witness suspicious or unlawful activity, please dial *9-1-1 *so the situation can be properly addressed. If you see something, say something!

First Aid & Security Station

Both offices are located at the southwest side of the Fairgrounds (407 on the map), next to the Fair Administration Office.

Lost and Found

Lost and found items may be taken to and picked up from the Pass Booth located at the West Entrance Building 201. Articles are held at the Fair Administration Office 60 days post Fair. Questions? Call 360-805-6700. Please refer to Lost Persons information below for further instruction. Lost persons should not be brought to the Pass Booth.

Lost Persons

Lost children and fairgoers should be directed to the Lost Person’s Station near the Sheriff’s Office (407 on the map). Sponsored and staffed by Snohomish Health District, the lost Fairgoers are watched over until they are reunited with their families. This process is applicable for guests of all ages.

Outside Food & Drink

Outside food and drink (no alcohol) is permitted inside the fair park. No glass containers. There is a bag search upon entry.

Parking

Weekday parking is $10.00 and weekend parking is $15.00. Cash or credit card (Visa/Mastercard) are accepted. Disabled parking is available in all fairgrounds parking lots. These spaces are located closest to the entrances in all the official parking lots. 

Selfie Sticks and Drones

All selfie sticks and drones are prohibited on the fairgrounds.

Smoking, Vaping, Tobacco and Marijuana

In compliance with Washington Initiative 901 RCW 70.160, smoking or vaping is not allowed in public buildings, or within 25 feet of building entrances, exits, windows that open and ventilation intakes. The Evergreen State Fair offers dedicated smoking areas, which are denoted by red tents. No marijuana is allowed on the fairgrounds at any time. 

Unaccompanied Children

We recommend that children 1-13 are accompanied by an adult and children 14-15 have an adult nearby on the fairgrounds. Youth 16+ can be unaccompanied at the fair.

Wheelchair and Stroller Rental Rates

Wheelchairs, mobility scooters, strollers and wagons are provided courtesy of Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Snohomish County, sponsored by Catholic Community Services. Valid ID is required and will be retained until rental is returned. For those without ID, a *security deposit will be required for all rentals. All equipment is rented on a first-come, first-served basis.

Mobility Scooter-------------- *$60 / *$80*
Strollers ----------------------- *$15 / *$30*
Wagons ----------------------- *$15 / *$30*
