The results are in! Our Blue Dog co-chair Marie Gluesenkamp Perez has won her top-two primary election for Washington’s 3rd district.
Now she will face a rematch against far-right extremist Joe Kent in November, the same strange, angry, and dangerous bonafide white nationalist she defeated last time.
Marie’s opponent Joe Kent wants a national ban on abortion with no exceptions. He said so on tape, multiple times, both before and after Roe v. Wade was struck down. He is outright lying if he tells you otherwise, and he is a threat to the freedom of women and girls.
He also told a group of white nationalists he wants to ban all immigration into our country for 20 years in order to secure a white racial majority, while opposing bipartisan legislation to secure the Southern Border and combat fentanyl. And again, he is on tape saying so.
The list of delusional conspiracy theories Joe Kent has expressed an openness to believing grows by the month, like putting Dr. Anthony Fauci on trial for murder and portraying the United States as the bad guys while aligning with Russian and Chinese state propaganda.
Voters in Washington’s 3rd district rejected these divisive, extreme politics two years ago and they rejected them again on Tuesday. But Marie is the only thing standing between Joe Kent and a seat in Congress this November.
