Congressional District 3 is a seat Republicans MUST keep in 2024! CD-3 encompasses most of the rural Western Slope in the state's western third portion, with a wing in the south taking in some of the southern portions of the Eastern Plains. It includes the cities of Grand Junction, Montrose, Durango, Aspen, Glenwood Springs, and Pueblo.
Before Congresswoman Boebert, who fiercely fought for Colorado in the 3rd CD, moved to CD-4, Democrats dumped millions of dollars into their progressive candidate Adam Frisch. This fundraising was aimed at taking out Boebert because Democrats hate freedom, but Adam Frisch does not represent Colorado, especially not the 3rd Congressional District.
In fact, Frisch owes much of his fundraising success to Hollywood; some of his noteworthy donors, other than himself, include Barbara Streisand, Rob Reiner, and Ryan Reynolds. These celebrities, who do not live in Colorado, donated to Adam when he was running against Congresswoman Boebert. Hollywood actors who could not tell you a thing about Pueblo or Grand Junction families, are funding Adam Frisch because he represents their interests...transitioning children, open borders, taking away our guns like Kamala Harris proudly proclaimed she would do "if Congress failed to act," and plain old socialism.
In May of 2017, a local business owner observed Adam Frisch riding a bicycle like a child, near a storage unit in Aspen. Frisch was meeting his mistress for a sexual encounter, which the business owner recorded and later used to blackmail Frisch into changing his vote on city council. The fact that Frisch's crucial vote on Aspen City Council could be so easily manipulated by his need to cover up his extra-marital affair is telling; Adam Frisch is already a bought and paid for Democrat.
Adam Frisch is largely silent on the issues; Frisch is extremely careful to appear as if he is a "moderate" Democrat. Frisch's wife, whom he so callously cheated on, was an Aspen School Board member until she was unseated in 2023, too radical even for Aspen. Katy Frisch repeatedly asserted that the government should be in the business of building housing, as the ultra-wealthy Frisch family, who contributed over $2M to his Congressional campaign, has no clue how hard-working Colorado families could afford yet another tax increase aimed at wealth redistribution. Katy Frisch was so emotional about the "spread of COVID," that she shamed teachers for contributing to the "spread" of the virus, prompting many of those educators to quit their jobs. Colorado does not need another ultra-elite family like the Polis and Frisch families, making decisions from secluded mountain mansions based on the Hollywood agenda. CD-3 deserves representation that understands the hard work and rugged individualism of Coloradans.
Jeff Hurd is a Colorado native, a husband, a father of five, and an attorney committed to serving his community and improving life in rural Colorado. Having grown up in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District and now raising his kids there, Jeff wants to deliver results that will help rural Colorado thrive. As a conservative, Jeff is committed to the Constitution, limited government, individual rights, free markets, and the rule of law. He knows government can be a force for good but is usually best when it creates the conditions for individuals, families, and businesses to thrive.
Barbora Hurd, Jeff’s wife, also studied law and is originally from Czechoslovakia. Growing up under communism and with a Soviet army base in her city, Barbora would listen to Radio Free Europe with her family from behind the Iron Curtain. Seeing communism fall taught her an important lesson about how ideas, not power, have the final say in political affairs.
Jeff Hurd believes we must secure the border immediately. "Border Patrol and law enforcement must be given all resources necessary to enforce the law. The federal government must also do everything in its power to work with local law enforcement to crack down on drugs and crime flowing into our country."
When elected, Jeff’s top priority will be creating opportunities so rural Colorado economies can thrive. This includes higher-paying jobs that allow working families to support themselves. Jeff is open to balanced and thoughtful solutions that enable parents to work and raise their children. Mr. Hurd will also explore ways to find savings for families across rural Colorado. This includes the Child Tax Credit as well as tax credits and investments that assist parents struggling with childcare.
Jeff Hurd supports the responsible development of all Colorado energy resources. This includes some of the cleanest oil and natural gas molecules in the world. Jeff knows permitting and regulatory reform are necessary to speed both traditional and low-carbon energy development. Jeff grew up in western Colorado and appreciates what farming and ranching mean to Colorado’s economy, its environment, and its culture. The Farm Bill, along with policies relating to trade, labor, federal regulations, grazing, land use, water and wolves all impact agriculture. Jeff will work hard to protect the livelihood of farmers and ranchers throughout rural Colorado—no matter the size, and whether they’re first-generation or legacy producers.
As of this writing, Democrat Adam Frisch has outraised Jeff Hurd by an over 10 to 1 margin, flush with cash from his celebrity friends in Hollywood and New York. CD-3 is considered a Republican-leaning seat, but we only claimed it in 2022 by 546 votes, and Frisch's $13M will go a long way to enhancing his name ID. We MUST keep CD-3 in conservative hands, so we need to help Jeff Hurd win!
