John, I’m kinda freaking out — Over the last few months, grassroots enthusiasm has been surging for Josh’s campaign, and our donations are up too. That’s great! We love to see an upward ActBlue trend line.
But here’s what’s not so great, John... at least for me: With every day that passes, our campaign expenses increase. We have to spend more for everything from ad time to mailers the closer we get to Election Day, and that means we have to raise more to meet our needs. That puts the pressure on me, as our team’s Finance Director, to keep up.
I won’t deny it, John: These requests for your support will keep coming through the three months ahead of us. With our race deadlocked and the national GOP pouring millions into defeating Josh, we just can’t afford to let up.
