Hey John,
When it comes to electing a slate of representatives that actually looks like the people they represent, we’ve never had a bigger opportunity than this November. This year, Black candidates are at the forefront of fraught battles for control of the White House, Senate, and House.
In other words, Black Democrats are at the forefront of the fight for the very life of our democracy.
We could elect the first ever Black Senator from Texas, Colin Allred. We could elect the first ever Black Senator from Delaware, Lisa Blunt Rochester. We could elect the first ever Black Woman Senator from Maryland, Angela Alsobrooks.
And of course, at the top of the ticket, we could elect the first woman, the first Asian, the first biracial, and the second Black President, Kamala Harris.
