Friend: Children’s needs are growing rapidly as conflicts intensify, climate disasters become more extreme, hunger rises and children are forced to flee home.
UNICEF is doing everything possible to respond, but more resources are needed to ensure that relief reaches every child. All of UNICEF’s funding is powered by voluntary contributions from people like you and private and public-sector donors, including the U.S. Government. With crises mounting, UNICEF USA is advocating for an increase in funding from Congress to continue efforts to provide critical relief and long-term support for children.
Thanks to the advocacy of our community, the Senate has included an increase in funding for UNICEF in the latest appropriations bill. We are so grateful for this signal of support, and to all of our advocates who helped raise the profile on the need for it.
There is still a long way to go to get this funding across the legislative finish line — now, we need to make sure these resources are included in a final bill so children receive the support they need.
Will you urge your members of Congress to pass critical
funding for UNICEF? Take action here >>
Right now, while Members of Congress are in their respective districts and states for Congressional recess, you have the unique opportunity of reaching your leaders at home and making your voice heard for children.
Increased federal funding will allow UNICEF to expand efforts — from delivering critical aid in emergency settings to providing safe water and vaccines in even the hardest-to-reach areas — to help every child, everywhere, survive and thrive.
Prioritizing the future and generating impact takes all of us, and this funding support is essential. So is your voice. Take action — urge your Members of Congress to support federal funding for UNICEF.
Thank you for showing up for children,
UNICEF USA
