Hey, I wanted to check-in.

As Debbie’s Finance Director, it’s my job to ensure that we’re raising enough money to run a winning campaign -- and that’s an expensive endeavor in South Florida.

So I need to level with you: We set a goal of raising $15,000 by Thursday and after a 48-hour fundraising drive, we’re on pace to fall far short of our goal.

Will you help us pick up the pace so we can go toe-to-toe with our GOP opponent and his special interest-backed campaign?

Hitting these goals is important. They’re benchmarks to make sure we are on track to having enough resources to air our television ads, operate our get out the vote program and pay our hardworking staff. If we fall short of one and make it a trend, we may not have what it will take to win come November.
