Dear friend,

I know that these are challenging times for everyone as we all do our part to
slow the spread of COVID-19. Just a few months ago, we were looking forward to
the spring thaw and rolling up our sleeves to jump into a busy campaign season
here in the Granite State. Instead, we are all now adjusting to a new way of
life as we practice physical distancing and transition to remote working and
digital connection. While the way we work and connect may change, the
importance of our shared mission of fighting for all Granite State families and
defending our values is more important than ever.

Over the past two months, my team and I have transitioned to remote working to
continue serving people across New Hampshire’s Second Congressional District
and fighting for the values important to us here in New Hampshire. It has not
all been easy. I think we’ve all had our run-ins with technology or found
ourselves struggling with the inability to discuss issues in person.

I’ve traveled to Washington, DC to vote on legislation to support working
families, our frontline health care workers, our hospitals, and small
businesses. Most recently I traveled to Washington this past Thursday to
advance a package that will increase support for small businesses, bolster
funding for hospitals, and importantly ramp up testing.

To give you a sense of some of what I’ve been working on I want to share the
op-ed’s I’ve authored since this crisis began.

On March 29th, I wrote in the Nashua Telegraph about the Coronavirus Aid,
Relief, and Economic Security Act  (CARES Act) and the importance of that
legislation for slowing the spread of COVID-19, supporting workers and
protecting small businesses in New Hampshire. Read my full op-edHERE

On April 12, in the Concord Monitor, I spoke about the threat social
distancing can have for individuals impacted by sexual and domestic violence.

On April 19, I wrote in the Union Leader about how a well-coordinated response
to the COVID-19 crisis is critical to addressing both the health and economic
consequences of this unprecedented challenge. You can read my op-ed in the

Most recently, on April 24, I wrote in the Concord Monitor about the need for
a comprehensive and robust testing strategy in order to begin looking toward a
responsible reopening of our economy. You and read that op-edHERE

I will be using op-eds to provide additional updates in the coming days and
weeks and will be sure to share them with you!

Since this crisis began, I’ve been pushing to ensure that efforts coming out
of Washington support hard-working families, our health care system, and
hospitals and frontline first responders and health care workers. We need to
ensure our first responders, health care system, and vulnerable communities
have access to Personal Protective Equipment, and we must increase testing for
COVID-19.

Sadly, We’ve seen President Trump and his Congressional Republican allies work
to support the very wealthiest Americans. I will continue to fight to make sure
that we promote a bottom-up recovery in New Hampshire and across the country.

To date, I’ve supported legislation that includes:

* Over $290 Billion for families and individuals struggling financially
* Over $175 Billion for Hospitals and frontline health care workers
* Over $660 Billion for Small Businesses
The COVID-19 public health crisis has tested our communities in many ways over
the past two months. In the age of physical distancing, it can be easy to feel
isolated. That’s why now more than ever it is important to stay connected with
one another through all the tools at our disposal.

Zoom a friend, send a video text to a loved one, give a neighbor a phone call;
a kind word can make all the difference in someone's day.

I look forward to hearing from you. Please reach out with your thoughts and
