John —In the 2012 election, Democratic U.S. House candidates earned 1.4 million more votes than their GOP opponents nationwide. And yet Democrats ended up with 33 fewer seats.
It was all a function of the gerrymandering Republicans did after the 2010 census. If you agree that that type of gerrymandering is outrageous, will you rush a $5 donation to power the NDRC’s democracy-saving work for fair maps? [[link removed]]

So when the NDRC got its start back in 2017, we knew we had our work cut out for us.
We rallied fair maps supporters around the country. We helped elect candidates who could ensure fair redistricting processes. We helped states enact reforms. And heading into the 2022 elections, The New York Times declared the new map “the fairest congressional map in 40 years.”
Compare that to when Princeton University found that the 2012 map had the worst gerrymandering of the past 50 years.
None of this would have been possible without this grassroots team. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Together, we’ve delivered results — but we must stay vigilant and keep pushing back against map manipulators who are still trying to undo all our progress. Will you support our work with a quick donation today? [[link removed]]
