We want to thank you for your unprecedented support over the past year, and are excited to announce that our much-anticipated renovation and expansion is about to take a major step forward! Next week we will begin emptying our store so that construction crews can move in and begin their work.
As a result, we will be closed Monday-Thursday (August 12-15). On Friday, August 16, we will reopen with our normal hours one door over in a smaller, temporary space (next to the chocolate shop, in the former cat boarding business).
We will still be selling best-selling books, pottery, olive oil and more. However, some items will be in an employee-only storage room upstairs. For this reason, if you are looking for a specific item, we recommend you place a pick-up order online in advance, so we can retrieve the item and ensure a swift hand-off. To place a pick-up order, simply select “Pickup in store” at checkout on our website. Please note: staff will not be able to leave the store unoccupied to access the storage room for walk-in requests.
Our online store will remain open for shipping orders 24/7, even while we are temporarily closed.
Thank you for your understanding and continued solidarity. Once completed, our expanded space will allow us to grow our selection of items, host community events and become a more impactful location for organizing, education and encounter.
SALE: Help us clear our shelves for moving! All books are 15% off this weekend, both online and in-person! Discount will be applied automatically at checkout.
We also have boxes of our magazine available for free, if you would like to hand them out at an upcoming event. Email [email protected] to request a box.
Looking for books that aren't about the Middle East? Order them through ourBookshop.orgpage, and a 30 percent commission automatically gets sent to us! This is a great way to support local bookstores, instead of Amazon.
