Alabama is home.

It’s home to my grandfather’s church that I was raised in.

It was home to my father, Michael, who fought to bankrupt the KKK after they lynched a Black teenager in Mobile.

It’s home to my mother, Vivian, the first woman to become Minority Leader of the Alabama Senate.

And now, it’s home to my three children – Micah, Novah, and Zorah.

So when I think about serving the people of Alabama in Congress, it’s not about politics.

It’s deeply personal.

I’m running for Congress because for far too long, communities in my home state have been overlooked and cast aside – and it’s time to change that story.

The people of Alabama deserve a leader who will fight for them — for good-paying jobs, affordable health care, and their reproductive rights.
