August 9, 2024 EditionThis week, we’re taking a hard look at Kamala’s VP pick, Tim Walz, and the implications of his troubling record. We’re also sharing the latest on our efforts to protect girls’ sports, recapping our presence at key events, and unveiling big news about the 2025 Run2Win Conference. Let’s dive in: In the Headlines Kamala’s Radical VP Pick The big headline this week is that Kamala Harris has officially chosen her running mate, and it’s not Josh Shapiro. Instead, Tim Walz from Minnesota has joined the ticket, leaving conservatives across the nation breathing a sigh of relief. Why? Because Walz doesn’t bring the strategic advantage of a swing state, he’s been dubbed the “Bernie Sanders of Minnesota,” and he adds little value to the campaign compared to someone like Shapiro. When looking at his record, his leadership and policy decisions are troubling. Here’s a snapshot: And that’s just scratching the surface. Walz also set up a COVID hotline encouraging neighbors to report on each other, contributed to the ignition of the George Floyd riots, then passively watched as Minneapolis burned, he called socialism “neighborly,” and much more. In fact, let’s let Tim Walz speak for himself: Here, Walz says he is so pro-choice, Nancy Pelosi wanted him to tone it down: Walz compares socialism to being “neighborly”: Here, he says he’ll invest in a “ladder factory” to help illegal immigrants get over the wall: Walz calls rural America, “mostly rocks and cows." Walz’s policies have been disastrous for Minnesota. Yet, despite everything, he’s far more likable than Kamala Harris could ever hope to be. As Minnesota Family Council President Jeff Evans puts it, Walz leans into an “aw-shucks” persona. Our President, Cole Muzio, and Jeff Evans sit down to dive deep into who Tim Walz is as a leader and how Minnesota has changed under his governance—and not for the better. They cover Minnesota’s crime, economy, COVID aftermath, and more. You can listen to this episode here: Georgia in the Headlines Georgia has found itself at the center of national attention starting last Saturday, following a highly publicized rally held by former President Donald Trump in Atlanta. During the rally, Trump made several statements that ignited further tension between him and Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, putting the state in the spotlight once again. In response to this unfolding situation, our President, Cole Muzio, has recorded an in-depth episode where he covers the rally, the ongoing clash between Trump and Kemp, and offers his unique perspective on what this means for Georgia’s political landscape. Cole dives into the implications of the former President’s remarks, how they could affect the upcoming elections, and what it all means for conservatives in our state. To hear Cole’s analysis, listen to the episode here. Olympic Update Last week, we shared the heartbreaking story of a women’s boxing match where Imane Khelif, a biological male, was allowed to compete against female boxer Angela Carini, winning in just 46 seconds. Since then, there has been confusion, as some media outlets have reported that Khelif was born female. Allie Beth Stuckey, whom many of you may remember from our Run2Win conference, offered a clear explanation of the situation. Indeed, Imane Khelif is a biological male. He has XY chromosomes, elevated testosterone levels, and failed gender testing by the IBA. Another biological male, Lin Yu-Ting, who also failed the IBA’s gender test, has similarly won competing against female athletes. These two biological males both set to fight for the gold medals in their divisions. The left claims that the “save girls’ sports” movement is overblown and that we’re searching for a problem that doesn’t exist. But what’s happening at the Olympics is precisely what we are fighting to prevent. Now at the Olympics, there is now effectively only men’s boxing. The IOC’s decisions have stripped away opportunities from women, crushing their ambitions. We are committed to ensuring that girls’ sports and spaces are protected in Georgia. It remains one of our top priorities. Frontline Updates
