I wanted to remind you about Shop Maryland Tax-Free Week, which begins this Sunday!

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

✅ Shop Maryland Tax-Free week begins on Sunday, August 11, and runs through Saturday, August 17!

✅ Any clothing and shoes that cost $100 or less will be exempt from Maryland’s 6% sales tax this week.

✅ The first $40 of any backpack will also be exempt from the 6% sales tax!

Shop Maryland Tax-Free Week is an excellent opportunity for our state’s residents to save on purchases, especially as families prepare to return to school. I encourage you to take advantage of the savings, and I hope you also support local businesses this week, too!
