** It's Black August!
------------------------------------------------------------
Black August was created to honor Black freedom fighters and highlight Black resistance to violence and oppression. At Girls For A Change (GFAC), we stand in the gaps in resistance to systemic oppression. When you support us, you are sustaining Black power. You are part of the resistance to racism and sexism. This month, we want to highlight some of our sustaining partners who ensure our work continues.

The Richmond Memorial Health Foundation (RMHF) is committed to its mission of fostering an equitable and healthy Richmond region. They have been a critical partner over the last four years, making sustaining investments that include:
* A multi-year grant of $200,000 over two years to sustain GFAC’s operations for our 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 funding years.
* A $50,000 grant to launch our Peer Advisor: Restore Cohort, in partnership with BareSOUL Yoga & Wellness.
* $10,000 in initial support funds to our newly implemented Daughters Impact Campaign.

This year, RMHF made its greatest investment in GFAC with a multi-year grant of $375,000 over three years to sustain our operations.

The trust that has been built between RMHF and GFAC is a direct reflection of our shared vision of a healed community, and the work we are willing to put in to achieve it. In addition to being a funding partner, the folks at RMHF are a frequent and friendly face at events in the community and at GFAC. They are also always working to learn more about how to be a better partner, and invite us in to provide feedback and insight.

Thank you, Richmond Memorial Health Foundation, for sustaining Black power and investing in the future of Black girls. Join RMHF Black August in sustaining Black power by making a donation or becoming a monthly donor.
